1 Pear

2 Apples

1 small bunch Mint

1 handful Parsley

1/2 Cucumber

1 Celery

Apples – An apple a day keeps the doctor away! Need I say more? Apples are delicious and loaded with vitamin C, B6, riboflavin, thiamin, and rich in phytonutrients as well as calcium, potassium, and phosphorus. The polyphenols found in apples inhibit the oxidation of LDL (bad!) cholesterol, and keep your healthy cholesterol levels in check!

Pears - Pears are rich in copper, phosphorus and potassium as well as vitamins A, B1, B2, E, folate and niacin. Pears contain glutathione which fights carcinogens and helps to prevent high blood pressure and stroke.

Celery - Aside from it’s well known nutrients such as vitamin C and flavanoids, celery contains a plethora of antioxidants including lunularin, bergapten and psoralen. Celery is also an excellent anti-inflammatory agent.

Cucumber – Cucumbers are 95% water, making them an ideal base for juices. These hydrating green veggies contain silicon and sulfur which aids hair growth and gives you glowing skin. Additionally cucumbers lower cholesterol, regulate blood pressure, cure hangovers, and neutralize bad breath! If you place a slice of cucumber in your mouth for about half a minute, its phytochemical compounds will kill the bacteria in your mouth and eliminate bad breath.

Mint – This soothing herb adds a refreshing kick to any juice, and also delivers a small dose of potassium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin C and vitamin A.

Parsley – Most people think of this little green herb as just a garnish…but it is so much more than that! Not only does it offer antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties, but it is an excellent source of vitamin K and a great detox for your liver. Parsley is also one of the highest sources of chlorophyll – the green blood of plants which works to oxidize blood in the human body.
