Introducing: Sakara Man

Healing whole foods, nutrient dense plants, endless energy, blissful sleep, crystal clear focus, and even clearer skin is not just for women - plant-based diets improve everyone’s lives ( and men deserve to feel GOOD in their bodies too!)

Know a man who could use more plant food love in his life? Yeah, we know a few too...

In order to celebrate the healing powers that a plant-based diet can bring to the lives of our beloved Sakara Men far and wide, we're partnering with the Movember Foundation for a special program supporting men’s health initiatives all November long. Throughout the month of November, new clients who sign up* for a 3 or 5-day Organic Meal Delivery program will receive a curated snack pack featuring Clean Boutique products for a little extra functional, plant-based nourishment, and a portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Movember Foundation to help tackle the health issues that are affecting men on a global scale.

Sakara Men are stronger, happier, smarter, more energized, more successful, more loving, and better in bed. Need proof? Meet some of our Sakara Men below.

How would you describe your typical diet?

I grew up on a potato farm in Ireland.. yes, absolute cliché! haha. It was literally meat and the most incredible potatoes 7 days/week. I’ve cut down the amount of meat i eat considerably, and today my diet is mostly veggies, greens and grains, with good quality meat as more of a side portion. Still love potatoes though...

Why do you incorporate healthy/plant-based foods into your diet?

I definitely feel lighter in my body as digestion is easy, and my energy levels are very steady throughout the day. I also eat much less food than I used to, and basically if I don’t feel hungry, I don’t eat. I’m happy to skip a meal if my body doesn’t call for it..

What's always in your fridge?

Organic Dark Mint Chocolate and filtered water. I’m not telling you how much chocolate I actually eat!

What's one ritual you do to keep yourself sane?

Other than the dark chocolate, it would always be exercise. I played competitive Rugby for a long time, and even though I don’t play anymore, I still tend to train for it. So, things like running sprint intervals, high intensity strength training etc just seem to relax and calm me. It does sound counter intuitive though, haha...

What does it mean to you to be a Sakara Man?

I live my life with intention. I appreciate that I have a responsibility to be the best human that I can be, whilst striving to succeed and leave my mark. The two go hand in hand. Eating great, functional food and living a healthy lifestyle is such a huge part of achieving both.

Favorite Sakara meal?

I love anything with Beetroot, so the Beet Burger + Beet Rawvioli are two of my favorites.

I'd describe it as robust. I have a fear of being hungry. I try to eat good hearty meals and then I graze a bit too.

Why do you incorporate healthy/plant-based foods into your diet?

I've started to work out with a trainer who keeps me honest there. He asks me what I've been eating and I feel good telling him when I've eaten really good plant based foods. I also feel better in general - definitely have more energy.

Going to the playground with my kids is great. Nothing like going down a slide to provide some good perspective. Whenever I need a minute to myself during the workday, I'll go outside and take a walk around the block. It helps me to think.
