Why You Should Change Your Diet for Summer

Yea, ok. Maybe it's an obvious statement. 'Change Your Diet for Summer'.

I mean, doesn't everyone? The point we're talking about here though is (*keyword) WHY: Why you should change your diet for summer or rather why seasonal eating is even important in the first place. The more you know about what, when, why, and how you're putting things into your body, the better you'll look (ok, sure, and feel).

Let's get down to it.

According to the ancient science of Ayurveda, eating local and seasonal foods is simply healthier and can actually help build and improve your immune system. When you eat locally grown food, you are eating in-season foods and eating foods that are exceptionally fresh is just plain easier to digest, not to mention they contain more prana aka 'life force'.

Remember when we talked about How To Heal Through the Earth? There is some serious, magical, and powerful stuff happening in the ground that your body can and loves to absorb. Not only is eating processed food just really bad for you, but, the older the food, the less 'life force' it has and the more strain it places on your digestive system, which is just totally un-cool.

And speaking of un-cool, let's talk about summer. It's getting hot, right? Don't we all want to look sexy, stay hydrated, and have as much energy as we can while we're out sunbathing? Now, don't panic: I know we're not all getting our produce from the farm next door, but all you have to do is be mindful of the seasons and the foods that were created during them (it was done for a reason). And hey, it doesn't have to be harder than 'Eat a little less of this (fried/heavy/salty foods)' and a little more of that '(leafy, juicy, hydrating foods)', But to make things even easier for you, we've listed our go-to Summer Superfoods below:
