Eating Essential Oils: How to Stay Healthy
We might not look like your average alchemists, but when it comes to our bodies and our health, we like taking matters into our own hands. That's why we were downright giddy to discover edible essential oils.
For those unfamiliar with nature's most potent juice, essential oils are the purest form of any plant that is extracted through steam distillation, cold pressed and bottled.
Not only can these little potions be spread all over your body or diffused into the air to help relax, energize or heal you -- they can be dropped into capsules for change that comes from the inside out.
At the start of a particularly busy week or when we sense the first signs of a cold, sore throat, ache, we tap our essential oils into the clear vegetable capsules and gulp them down daily to absorb these powerful liquids.
These are our 3 go-to health-boosting recipes followed by a description of what each oil does:
6 drops Thieves
3 drops Thieves
3 drops Lemon
3 drops Lavender
3 drops Peppermint
3 drops Lemon
If swallowing is not your thing, a few drops of these oils can also be dropped into your palms, rubbed together and inhaled for similar effects.
