Our 4-week flexible nutrition program to help you look and feel like your best self. Participants receive:

  • • Nutritionally Designed Meals (at least 2 meals per day, 3-5 days per week)

The Balance Program is a four-week nutrition program. By opting in, you are joining us for four consecutive weeks of breakfasts, lunches, and/or dinners on our Signature Nutrition Program; a Limited-Edition Sakara Tote; and access to our exclusive digital Sakara community. Clients who participate in this program must receive at least 2 meals per day, 3-5 days per week.

When you opt in for a Signature Nutrition Program, you will have the option to do a one-time trial program or a recurring subscription program. You can choose the number of days you would like to receive meals (3 or 5 days), and you may also choose which meals you would like to receive (breakfast, lunch and/or dinner).

You will receive your Limited-Edition Sakara Tote in your first meal delivery.

Because Sakara meals are made with the highest-quality, fresh, organic ingredients, we deliver no more than 3 days of meals at a time. If you order a 3-day program, it will arrive in 1 delivery; if you order a 5-day program, it will arrive in 2 deliveries.

We offer a set menu of delicious meals that everyone on the program receives. Our subscribers have the exclusive perk to customize their plans by having the option to swap meals. Each meal is nutritionally designed for your optimal health, so while you cannot choose your own menu, we guarantee that you and your body will benefit from each and every dish. Our delivery boxes are insulated and include ice packs to keep your food at safe temperatures throughout delivery. The ice packs may no longer be frozen upon delivery—this is ok! That means the ice packs are doing their job, and your food should still be cold. To ensure optimal freshness, we recommend storing meals in a refrigerator as soon after delivery as possible. All meals will stay fresh for up to three days after delivery with proper refrigeration.

If you are not home when a delivery is made, our shipping carriers or delivery partners may leave your order at your doorstep or with your doorman, depending on your area. You are able to provide additional delivery instructions (e.g., leaving the delivery at the back door). Please note that while our carriers will do their best to honor these special delivery instructions, we cannot guarantee that they’ll be accommodated and aren’t liable for any lost, stolen or damaged deliveries that result from these requests. It is your responsibility to be home during the delivery window if there isn’t someone available to accept it on your behalf.

Subscribers are able to modify their delivery address and/or delivery instructions by logging in to their Sakara subscription account. From here, click on “Account” and scroll down to “Manage Subscriptions.” Select Edit next to “Delivery Address” and update your address and/or notes accordingly. Any changes to your subscription must be made before midnight EST on Wednesday of the week prior.

By signing up for the Balance Program, you are opting in for four consecutive weeks of Sakara breakfasts, lunches, and/or dinners. You cannot skip a week during the program.

On days you do not receive Sakara meals, we still encourage you to nourish yourself with nutrient-dense foods and rituals that support your body and mind. As an effect of eating Sakara, your gut microbiome will shift and you will find yourself starting to crave fiber-rich veggies, anti-inflammatory healthy fats, and satiating plant protein. Throughout your four weeks (and beyond!), we encourage you to listen to what your body is asking for. That said, it can be difficult to tell if you actually need additional food, or if this desire to snack is just habitual. When deciding if you would like a snack, we ask you to tune into your body’s signals. If your hunger is sudden-onset and highly specific, it is likely that this reaction is a response to an emotion or a habit. Your body may not actually need additional nourishment. When this hunger comes on, it’s OK to take a moment to let it pass—drink some water, take a walk, or engage in some light breathwork. If your hunger is slow-onset, unspecified, and you feel low energy, it is likely that this hunger is a biological need. In this instance, we recommend you try one of the snacks below:

  • • Organic, low-glycemic fruits, like strawberries, blueberries, and apples
  • • Organic, low-glycemic, raw vegetables, like bell pepper, celery, and cucumber
  • • A small handful of raw walnuts

  • • Water or tea, like Sakara’s Detox Tea.

Keep in mind that taking a break from eating during the day is highly beneficial for your GI tract. It supports gut health, cell turnover, hormone regulation, and burning stored energy. Try to wait 3-5 hours between meals to avoid the need for a snack and reap the benefits of a mini-fast.

Most importantly, always remember to listen to your body—you know what is best for you!

This program is designed to optimize your biology with the power of food. As you begin, you are changing your gut environment, microbiome composition, metabolic rate, hormone signaling, and more. As these functions shift, side effects—including sugar cravings, bloat, or fluctuations in weight—are very normal. It’s important to tune into your body during these four weeks, have patience and respect for this transition, and nourish accordingly to reduce side effects in the long term. If you have more specific questions, please remember to turn to your community Slack channel, which is full of support from other Sakaralites on this journey with you, as well as Sakara health coaches there to guide you.
