Nutrition Programs

General

All of our meal programs are nutritionally designed for one person to enjoy.

If you want to order One-time programs for multiple people, you can do so under one account and with one transaction. If you wish to receive the same program:

Select the program of your choice and add it to your cart. Your cart will slide out and you can click the plus sign to change the quantity to reflect the number of programs you wish to order.

If you wish to receive different programs:

Add the first program of your choice to your cart. Then click “Shop Meal Programs” at the top of the page and begin adding the second program of your choice to your cart.

For subscriptions, you have to purchase each program separately, as we want to ensure any customization is selected as needed.

If you join us for a System, you will receive two meal deliveries per week that you are on the program, and one delivery with your System wellness essentials and guide at the beginning of your program, in a separate delivery from your meals.

Yes! Our program is designed to give you all of the bioavailable, easy-to-digest plant-based protein you need to build lean muscle, trigger metabolic functions in your body and keep your energy soaring. Some of our favorite plant-based protein sources are quinoa, hemp seeds, spirulina, nuts, chia seeds, beans, and even kale (there are 4 grams of protein in each cup!). That said, the#1 rule while on the program is to listen to your body! Should you feel your body craving extra protein, please feel free to supplement.

At Sakara, everything we do is rooted in the highest standards of nutrition, quality, and transformation. That’s why our Kitchen and Production Teams are SQF Certified—a highly respected food industry certification. Earning this certification requires completing a rigorous food safety and quality program and maintaining best-in-class global food safety standards. It’s one more way we ensure that every meal meets the highest levels of safety, care, and quality.

At this time, we are unable to accommodate specific food allergies in our meal programs. However, all of our meals are gluten-free and plant-based—meaning they contain no dairy or animal products.

You can always preview our weekly Signature menu, including a full ingredient list here. If our meal program isn’t the right fit for you, we also offer a variety of supplements.

Please note: While we follow strict food safety protocols, we do not recommend our meal program for anyone with a severe allergy, as we cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contamination in our facility or from our vendors.

We do use soy in some of our meals but we only source high-quality, unprocessed, organic soy and use medicinal levels that your body can benefit from. We use fermented miso and tamari, which in their fermented form, contain healthy bacteria that aid in gut health. You can view a full list of ingredients for each meal by clicking on the meal photo on our online menu.

Yes, Sakara meals and supplements are gluten-free.

Our meals and products are 100% plant-based—free from dairy, meat, and seafood. However, some items may include honey or bee pollen. You can always check the full ingredient list for each product on our website and preview our menu up to four weeks in advance.

Our Sakara Signature Meal Program is suitable for children and full of nourishing whole foods. We do not recommend the Sakara Level II: Detox program for anyone under the age of 18. We encourage you to speak with your healthcare provider if you have any concerns about our programs prior to starting.

Due to the perishable nature of our meals, once a program is purchased, refunds will not be issued unless there are extenuating circumstances. If you need to adjust your delivery date, you can reschedule your delivery until Wednesday at midnight EST of the week prior to your meal program—either through your account on our website or by emailing support@sakaralife.com. After Wednesday at midnight EST, deliveries cannot be rescheduled or credited.

Level II: Detox

Sakara’s Detox Program is unique in that it is a fresh, whole-food detox, offering a deeper cleanse than the Signature Nutrition Program while delivering fast results. Level II is intentionally crafted with specific ingredients to support detox pathways in the body, enhanced by targeted supplements, hydration touchpoints, and carefully curated food exclusions. This program also incorporates practices to promote cellular autophagy, taking detoxification a step deeper than the Signature program to optimize cellular health and renewal.

Unlike traditional detox programs that rely on powders or shelf-stable foods, Level II uses fresh, whole foods, tonics, and supplements to fuel your body with the nutrients it needs to thrive. This means powerful detox results without deprivation—leaving you energized, not depleted, as your body resets naturally and sustainably. With its focus on nourishment and rejuvenation, Level II delivers lasting results, leaving you feeling lighter, clearer, and more balanced.

  • 5 days of fresh meals and snacks, with at least 3 unique colors per meal
  • 4 daily hydration touchpoints with functional beverages
  • 5 daily capsules with targeted nutrients to support detoxification
  • A body gua sha tool for lymphatic drainage
  • An educational guidebook and daily checklist to guide you through the program

Level II helps you feel lighter, more energized, and less bloated while improving digestion. It supports liver function, enhances detox, and protects cells from damage. The program can also boost metabolism, support hormone health, improve insulin sensitivity, help burn fat, and regulate blood sugar. Many clients notice improved overall well-being throughout the program.

The program focuses on plant-based, whole foods and is designed to be as inclusive as possible. While we can’t accommodate individual changes, please contact Client Services if you have specific allergies for guidance on modifications. Please see the full list of ingredients here.

We recommend doing the program once a month to once a quarter. While deeply nourishing, it is also calorically restrictive, so for more frequent use, listen to your body and consult your healthcare provider for personalized guidance.

Supplements are essential in Level II Detox as they provide targeted nutrients that support the body’s natural detox pathways. While these nutrients are found in food, supplements deliver them in precise amounts for optimal effectiveness. Without them, the body may struggle to detoxify properly, potentially leading to incomplete detox or unintended harm.

The program eliminates gluten, dairy, refined sugar, grains, soy, nightshades, corn, alcohol, caffeine, and processed foods to reduce inflammation and support optimal detoxification. These exclusions minimize exposure to common triggers that can cause inflammation or adverse reactions, allowing the digestive system to rest and repair, and the body to optimize its ability to eliminate toxins.

Because we make our meals fresh each week and there is a limited number of spaces available in each detox, we are unable to accommodate opt outs as it reserves spaces and prevents other clients from booking.

Refunds will not be issued once a program has been purchased or a subscription has been processed. For all programs other than Level II: Detox, nutrition programs start dates can be skipped or changed before Midnight EST the Wednesday prior to your meal week.

If you are just starting Sakara, we recommend abstaining from caffeinated drinks, such as coffee, to support the body in recalibrating. Instead, we recommend substituting with one of our Sakara Teas or warm water with lemon. If you find that it is just too hard to give up caffeine, it's OK! You won't reverse the effects of your program or prevent yourself from getting results. Try having just 1 cup a day with a dollop of coconut oil stirred in (instead of milk and sugar) for a delicious and metabolism-boosting treat.

Our Packaging

We’ve designed our containers carefully to ensure that your meals arrive fresh and secure. When using this post-consumer recycled plastic there can be variation within production, which is why some lids seem more snug than others.

We find that the best practice is to hold the container with the lid tab facing away from you. Grip the tab with your fingers and place your thumb on the top center of the lid. Press down on the center with your thumb and pull the lid tab up and towards your body. This should do the trick!

Feel free to reach out to support@sakaralife.com if you have any other questions.

Our proprietary food containers were designed to promote airflow within the container and keep your food fresh from our kitchen to your plate. They’re made from Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (PCR PET) which is created from recycled plastic bottles and thermoforms. That means instead of plastic bottles going into landfills or oceans, they go toward creating your totally recyclable meal containers.

The boxes are constructed from corrugated cardboard and also made using recycled materials. The box liners are made from recycled materials and the boxes, liners and meal containers can all be recycled curbside. Our ice packs are non-toxic, water-soluble, drain-safe, and recyclable. To recycle, cut open plastic film and pour gel down your drain or into your trash. Recycle the plastic film with #4 plastics.

Our clear food containers are coded #1 plastic, are widely recycled, and can be accepted curbside. The delivery boxes and liners can also be accepted as part of curbside recycling.

No. The plastic containers are 100% BPA-free.

We spend a lot of time and effort researching the latest in packaging to find the best option for you and the environment. We selected our current packaging with those things in mind.

What We Use

Sakara's food containers are made from post-consumer recycled #1 PET plastic. This means the plastic used to create the containers has had a prior life—for instance, as a water bottle. By giving it a second life as a Sakara meal container, we’re saving thousands of pounds of plastic from ending up in landfills and oceans. Using recycled plastic to make our containers is more expensive than using virgin plastic, but we believe it’s well worth the investment for its environmental impact.

Why We Didn't Go "Compostable"

While "compostable" containers might seem like a good option, research shows otherwise. In fact, they can take just as long to break down as a regular plastic container or any other waste—up to 1,000 years. There are two major types of compostable containers:

Option #1: Pulp or paper-based containers. These are usually polycoated (coated with plastic) to make them water resistant. But polycoating makes these containers un-compostable. Left uncoated, pulp or paper-based containers can’t withstand moisture, nor can they sufficiently protect their contents from airflow or excessive movement during shipping. This results in wilted greens and damaged food, creating unnecessary food waste. It’s our goal to bring you the crispest greens, the freshest fruits, and the most beautiful, delicious meals possible—and we believe our packaging achieves this best, while also reducing food waste and carbon emissions (did you know the methane gas from food waste is ~30x stronger than CO2?) for the good of the planet.

Option #2: Plant-based plastics (PLA). PLA might look like plastic, but it isn’t—and it can’t be recycled. And, like pulp or paper-based containers, PLA requires a commercial composting facility (quite different from your backyard composter). Commercial composting centers are not common in the U.S.—in fact, there are only about 200 of these facilities in the entire country. On the other hand, most major cities in America have established recycling programs (~10,000 in the U.S.).

We believe that at this time, recycled PET plastic is the best option for you and the environment. Our hope is that our packaging will reduce landfill waste by remaining in the recycling system, and—because of its superior protective qualities—cut carbon emissions by reducing food waste.

What You Can Do

We ask that you do your part by rinsing and recycling your Sakara containers after enjoying your meals. With your support, we can make sure our containers live on and never end up in landfills or oceans. Together we can help keep our planet healthy and beautiful.
