Fiber-Packed Chocolate-Covered Berries
As delicious as they are good for you.
These chocolate-covered berries are fiber-packed on their own, but we added extra via our Fiber Super Powder—because 95% of Americans are low on fiber intake, and we’re here to turn that around.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup chopped dark chocolate
- 1/2 scoop Fiber Super Powder
- Assortment of fresh berries
DIRECTIONS:
If tempering the chocolate (slightly more challenging):
- Melt 2/3 of chopped dark chocolate over a double boiler.
- Remove bowl from heat.
- Stir in remaining 1/3 chocolate until cooled to 88-90°F.
- Let cool at room temperature. This will give the chocolate a professional "snap."
If you prefer not to temper (slightly easier):
- Melt chopped dark chocolate over a double boiler until almost all is melted.
- Remove bowl from heat, and continue stirring until all pieces are melted. Let cool at room temperature, or for a "snap" or to faster cool, place bowl in the fridge.
Once chocolate is melted and fully cooled:
- Stir in 1/2 scoop of Fiber Super powder until well combined and fully dissolved.
- Ensure your berries are completely dry (this is very important if you want the chocolate to stick!) and dip into chocolate. Tap off excess, and place on parchment paper to set.
Optional: Sprinkle sumac on before the chocolate cools.
