Green Apple Sour Reset Smoothie
INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 cup of aloe vera juice
- 1 large handful of spinach
- 4 frozen pineapple rings
- Juice of 1/2 a lemon
- 1 scoop of Sakara’s Fiber Super Powder
- 2 tablespoons of homemade apple pectin
- 2 ice cubes
DIRECTIONS
- To make the apple pectin, wash and roughly chop 4lbs of Granny Smith apples.
- Add the apples to a pot with 8 cups of water. Bring to a boil, lower the heat, and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Transfer the apples and liquid to a large bowl lined with cheesecloth and mesh strainer. Cover with a towel and drain for at least two hours.
- Pour the strained juice into a saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce by 50% (60oz to 30oz).
- Once cooled, add the apple pectin and remaining ingredients to a blender. Blend well, and enjoy.
