Recipe: A Little 'Spring' in Your Smoothie Step

This is a fruity and fun smoothie that is light and full of nutritious goodness! It won’t weigh you down, but will keep you full and satisfied. The base is organic almond milk but you can use your favorite kind of vegan milk, it taste great with coconut and cashew milks! Want to learn how to make your own milk? Click here. The papaya is great for your skin, giving you a nice sexy glow and the coconut oil is a healthy fat that will keep you full and give you good energy for your day.

Spring Superfood Smoothie

1 cup almond milk or coconut milk

1 frozen banana

1/2 orange, peeled

1/2 cup frozen papaya, chopped

1/2 cup frozen strawberries

1 tablespoon heaping coconut oil or butter

2 teaspoons lemon juice

1 scoop of Beaming protein or your vegan favorite protein supplement

Pinch of Himalayan salt

*Optional Superfood Add Ins

Bee Pollen (Anti-Fungal and B vitamins

1/4 Avocado (in place of banana for low glycemic version)

Camu Camu (high vitamin C)

 

Using a high speed blender, combine milk, banana, orange, papaya, strawberries, coconut oil or butter, lemon juice, protein and salt. Blend until smooth and pour into your favorite glass!
