Group Text: What Workout/Fitness Class Do You Want To Try This Year?

New Year, New Chance to get that body movin’ and groovin’. 

For big city girls and boys, there are hundreds (and seemingly endless amounts) of advanced and enhanced workout classes popping up every day. And sure, consistency is key, and maintaining a daily habit around your sweat sessions will prove more than likely to deliver the results you so desire. But also, how freaking fun is it to venture out and try something more offbeat every now and again? 

I’ll be using my New Year, New Adventures resolution as an excuse to try out the New York Trapeze School, Kundalini Yoga, SLT, Infrared Sauna Grottos (yes, I sometimes count still breathing and sweating a ton as a proper workout), and, I vow to go swimming more often. 

What about you? What exercise craze or new workout class are you most looking forward to trying out this year?

    I want to do more classes at my absolute FAVE place – New York Pilates. Their Soho studio has the best vibes and makes you feel like you’re in a beach house somewhere warm!! Love love love!!

    Overthrow Boxing Club! I’ve had this place on my workout to-do list for far too long. I pass it every day on my way to work and it’s the kind of place that looks intimidating but would be SO rewarding. Definitely going to try this year!

    I want to do more Hot Power Yoga at Lyon’s Den – I’m starting a personal 30 day challenge next week – and make it to Brooklyn BodyBurn more this year to tighten up that core!!!

    I SECOND that note on Shadowboxing! Also can’t wait to try The Cut at Equinox – just launched last week and it sounds awesome!

    I just joined the Crossfit box around the corner from my apartment (no more excuses for those pre-dawn, pre-office workouts) and I’m SO excited to get started next week. Those hardcore workouts make me feel super powerful and confident, and I love how they give me a real goal other than “lose weight.” (Plus, the community aspect is really motivating and inspiring- and keeps it fun!) I also miss boxing and hot yoga, two things I used to do a lot, so I’d like to bring those back into my regular workout rotation.

    Took my first Bari class yesterday as a part of my 5-week New Year’s Challenge and I am OBSESSED. Such a good workout! I’ve also been dying to try Shadowboxing. And would like to do 305 Fitness more in 2016.

    oooh I love Bari too Gabby! I wanted to do their challenge myself.

    I am a hardcore Tracy Anderson fan, so I want to make it to more of her classes this new year now that they are open for the public! Tracy Anderson, Dancebody, Bari and Body by Simone will definitely be seeing me a lot. I’ve always wanted to try ModelFit too!
