#Sakarahacks: How to Make It Look Like You've Showered

You’ve heard it a million times, maybe even said it yourself. Long thought of as an excuse reserved to blow-off guys who use cliché pickup lines, it’s actually true. Any long locked lady will tell you, from start to finish, this process can take over an hour.

If shampooing, conditioning, styling and blow drying isn’t your idea of a rousing evening, you’re not alone.

Thankfully, there are a number of products that can perk up limp locks, help you salvage your style, and extend time between washings, so that you can stop wasting your Friday nights in the bathroom. Whether you need a fresh fix post-workout, before a night out or the next morning...there's a product for that.

But be warned, not all dry shampoos are created equal. So, how do you know which products are worth your time and your tresses? It all comes down to the formulation.

Many are made with harmful ingredients, like parabens, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic color, talc, sodium chloride, mineral oil, petrolatum. Ewwww. If you see any of these on the label, put down the product and slowly walk away.

Instead, opt for natural formulas with good for you ingredients. Clay and natural powders (cornstarch, rice, arrowroot and horsetail) are effective at absorbing excess oil; powders also add texture and boost volume. And if you’re looking for a fresh scent, try a formula with Essential Oils.

These Sakara-approved picks will give you the healthy, heavenly hair you deserve – not to mention your Saturday night back!
